BenefactionsThe Benefactors' Register

The Institute is privately funded.

The Ginkgo Institute does not solicit contributions. It does, however, receive them — gratefully, quietly, and with the donor's name entered in the Benefactors' Register, should they wish it to be. Anonymity is equally respected, and considerably more common.
The work

What patronage sustains

I

Preservation

The archive grows by one Field Note a week. Each is catalogued, cross-referenced, and kept.

II

The Vault

18°C and 45% humidity, maintained without interruption. Gerald the dehumidifier is honorary staff and takes the responsibility personally.

III

Expeditions

Field work in the valley and beyond. Every record in the catalogue began as somebody's bad weather.

IV

The editions

Pause & Wonder, the Institute's book branch, and its annual curated Editions.
