Expeditions

We go where the record is still held by people rather than shelves. The Curator sits with them, listens, and attempts to keep the rain out of his notebooks.
Expedition 14In the field

Highland coffee growers

The Curator is following a cherry through its full year, from blossom to cup. The altitude makes everything slower, including him.

Expedition 13Returned

The ama divers

The journals arrived salt-stained. The Dark Room requested fewer seawater photographs. The request was denied.

Expedition 12Catalogued

The bog sliotar

Peat samples returned with apologies. The apologies were later amended to read “extensive.”

Expedition 11Catalogued

Sfyria whistling

The Curator returned able to whistle two phrases. One of them was rude. Whistling is now banned in the Communications Room.

Expedition 10Catalogued

The footnote expedition

Rural Ireland, hurling, and the overlooked reference that became the Institute's first dispatch and the Vault's first properly labelled box.
